Objectives
- Describe the operations of preparation, amendment and bottom fertilization of the land and in a well-characterized practical case, organize their implementation with the appropriate materials and equipment - List the main limitations of the soil, from the point of view of fertility, indicating the amendments and bottom fertilization that correct them taking into account the needs of the crops - Describe the bottom, surface, control of spontaneous vegetation and conditioning of the land for sowing, transplanting and planting, indicating the time, depth required and the machinery, equipment, implements and tools necessary depending on the soil and the species to be planted. - Describe the application methods of bottom fertilizer and other amendments taking into account the characteristics of the soil and the crop to be planted. - Identify the types of herbicides and application methods to control spontaneous vegetation, taking into account the species to be controlled and the sowing, transplanting and planting techniques that will be used. - Explain the methods of crop implementation and calculate the quantities of seeds and plants necessary to organize sowing, transplanting and planting. - Identify the usual methods for checking the health status, selection and handling of seeds, plants and seedlings until sowing or planting to ensure the availability of healthy plant material in the appropriate state of development. - Define the types of sowing, transplanting and planting of crops, indicating the type and amount of plant material necessary to carry out the operations in accordance with the requirements of each crop. - Identify the material resources necessary to carry out the different sowing, transplanting and planting operations taking into account the requirements of the crops. - Specify the human resources necessary to carry out land preparation and crop planting operations and coordinate the development of their activities. - Identify the types of problems or conflicts most frequently raised at work, assessing their severity and indicating their possible solutions. - Explain those aspects of the regulations on occupational risk prevention that are related to manual and mechanized land preparation and crop planting operations.
