- Know and acquire the basic concepts of nutrition, as well as the main needs of dogs and cats. - Know healthy eating, since it is accompanied by physical and mental well-being and delays complications of the animal's health. - Know how to balance a daily diet for each dog and each cat in particular, based on their individual characteristics and physiological state. - Become aware of the important role that food plays in the prevention of various health disorders. - Acquire knowledge of dietary therapy in multiple pathologies, which constitutes a total or partial part of their treatment. - Acquire homeopathic knowledge related to the practice of Veterinary Medicine. - Become familiar with the method of preparing a homeopathic clinical history. - Learn to question the client in order to obtain as much information as possible about the patient's illness. - Review and/or update knowledge about the patient's medical examination. - Study mental and physical symptoms as part of a whole. - Diagnose and treat the patient individually, avoiding generalization due to diseases. - Know the aspects to take into account regarding human resources in Veterinary Clinics. - Learn customer service functions. - Implement a marketing plan appropriate to these companies. - Carry out customer relationship management (CRM). - Know the management and administration of the necessary documents in Veterinary Clinics. - Identify the material and instruments necessary for Veterinary Clinics. - Acquire adequate technical and therapeutic skills that all healthcare personnel will need for an adequate development of professional practice, effectively and responsibly. - Acquire basic psychological notions to know how to communicate. - Treat psychological intervention in those more special situations such as terminal illnesses. - Know that it is bad news. This Maestría in Nutrition and Dietetics in the Veterinary Area provides the student with the necessary knowledge about dietetics and veterinary nutrition so that pets can enjoy a standard of living that is characterized by their quality, regardless of whether they may suffer from any pathology. The student will be able to learn the basic knowledge of all nutrition, the main needs of dogs and cats, how to achieve a healthy diet, knowing how to balance the daily diet of each dog and cat based on their characteristics and analyze the importance of a valid dietary therapy for multiple pathologies.
