- Raise awareness of the importance of Public Health training among health professionals. - Define the concept of Public Health and study its evolution and relationship with Epidemiology. - Learn to interpret epidemiological phenomena and know the importance of epidemiological surveillance. - Know the evolution of the most prevalent diseases as well as their current situation. - Know the programs aimed at promoting health in society. - Know the agents that cause infections. - Analyze the immune system, as well as the concepts of autoimmunity and immunodeficiency. - Know the main infectious diseases. - Identify the main bacterial and viral diseases. - Know the main urgent infectious pathologies. - Analyze the most frequent nosocomial diseases. - Describe the structure of the public health system in Spain. - Define health and management documentation. - Identify the objectives, contents and formats of the clinical history. - Determine what coding is and how the process for correct coding is carried out. - Collaborate in establishing correct communication in the healthcare context. - Organize the management of warehouse stocks and inventories. - Know the purchase and sale operations of a health center. Develop in students those skills necessary to perform the functions of Basic Level Occupational Risk Prevention Technician. Acquire knowledge that allows students to identify, avoid, correct and prevent specific problems that may endanger the health and integrity of workers. Know the laws and regulations regarding occupational risk prevention based on the Occupational Risk Prevention Law. Analyze the different action plans, prevention and first aid techniques that favor or help overcome different risk situations. Make known the basic concepts and minimum requirements of the Occupational Risk Prevention Law in the field of health. Identify and analyze the different risks that may arise in each of the phases and activities carried out in the healthcare sector. Know the main rights and obligations that workers in the health sector must assume in relation to risk prevention. Analyze and study the different preventive measures, both at the individual and collective level, that must be used to prevent risks in the tasks and processes of the health sector. - Acquire a series of knowledge, skills and abilities that allow healthcare and administrative personnel to face professional tasks and possible incidents that may arise in the management of patients' personal data, so that they are protected.
