Objectives

Among the objectives of the earthworks course, the following stand out: - Develop in students those skills necessary to perform the functions of Basic Level Occupational Risk Prevention Technician. - Acquire knowledge that allows students to identify, avoid, correct and prevent specific problems that may endanger the health and integrity of workers. - Know the laws and regulations regarding occupational risk prevention based on the Occupational Risk Prevention Law. - Analyze the different action plans, prevention and first aid techniques that favor or help overcome different risk situations. - Make known the basic concepts and minimum requirements of the Law on the Prevention of Occupational Risks in the construction sector for operators of vehicles and machinery in earthworks, which must be applied by companies in this sector. - Identify and analyze the different risks that may arise in each of the phases and activities carried out in the sector. - Analyze and study the different preventive measures, both at an individual and collective level, that must be used to prevent risks in the tasks and processes of the construction sector for operators of vehicles and machinery in earthworks. - Know everything related to the machinery used in earth moving: Excavators, Loaders, Bulldozers, Trailers, Motor Grader, Earth Compactor.
