Fruit and vegetable conservation course: Postgraduate in storage and conservation of fruit and vegetable products in food wholesale food (double degree)

In the field of the fruit and vegetable world it is necessary to know the different types of storage, manipulation and conservation of these products, taking into account the quality control that they must pass and the environmental impact that can be caused with an improper use of the machinery among others. For this, this course aims to provide the necessary knowledge for a correct storage, conservation and manipulation of them in the wholesale food trade.

- Describe the necessary processes for the collection and use of agricultural products and organize, in a practical case, the resources available to guarantee the performance and quality of the harvest. - Relate the necessary actions to proceed to the load and transport of the harvest and schedule the realization of them for a given crop. - Adopt the appropriate measures for compliance, in the established time and form, of the movement and proximity distribution orders. - Load and download packages, boxes or products in, transpalés or hand trucks, maintaining the stability and balance of the load, adopting measures to avoid accidents and injuries and respecting health and safety standards. - Define the phases and operations to be carried out within the logistics chain in accordance with the levels of service and quality established to monitor the goods. - Calculate logistics costs based on the variables involved in the execution of the distribution service, to prepare a budget of the logistics service. - Facilitate knowledge and encourage compliance with food hygiene standards in the usual work of all those dedicated to the storage and conservation of fruit and vegetable products.

It develops its professional activity in the area of fruit and vegetable production of large, medium and small public or private companies, both on their own and on their own.

The course is addressed to those people who work or wish to work in the field of storage, manipulation and conservation of fruit and vegetable products, who have expectations to learn issues related to their performance, operation, machinery, material and human resources etc. It is also aimed at those who want to expand their professional knowledge and notions in some specific aspect of it.

This training is not included in the scope of official regulated training (Infant Education, Primary Education, Secondary Education, Official Professional Training FP, Baccalaureate, University Degree, Official University Master and PhD). It is therefore a complementary and/or specialization training, aimed at acquiring certain skills, skills or aptitudes of a professional nature, being able to be barely as merit in workbags and/or opposition competitions, always within the complementary training section and/or continuous training being always essential to review the specific requirements of the public labor stock of the public labor stock market.
