Master Pharmacology: Master in Pharmacology and Pharmaceutical Technology

Throughout history, pharmacology has been adapting to the needs and means available. Initially, medications were prepared in the pharmacy by hand, however, after the universalization of health in the nineteenth century, greater production of these is needed and, therefore, technology is used to expedite its manufacture. In addition, the use of medicines is perfected taking into account their absorption, security, efficacy and stability. In this master's degree, the physical-chemical properties of substances are studied, as well as their mechanism of action and the response they produce in individuals, modifying the form and route of administration to improve the biopharmaceutical properties of medicines in people.

This Master prepares you to develop professionally in the different pharmaceutical sectors, such as research, the Community and Hospital Pharmacy Office, the Health Administration, the Pharmaceutical Industry, among others. Focusing both on the biopharmaceutical and pharmacokinetic aspects of medicines, and in the mechanism of action, fundamental concepts in the result of all pharmacological treatment.

It is intended for graduates/graduates in pharmacy and other health professionals who want to acquire knowledge and skills necessary for the integral formation of the pharmacist, as well as those interested in the processes that surround the manufacture, efficacy and safety of medicines.

This training is not included in the scope of official regulated training (Infant Education, Primary Education, Secondary Education, Official Professional Training FP, Baccalaureate, University Degree, Official University Master and PhD). It is therefore a complementary and/or specialization training, aimed at acquiring certain skills, skills or aptitudes of a professional nature, being able to be barely as merit in workbags and/or opposition competitions, always within the complementary training section and/or continuous training being always essential to review the specific requirements of the public labor stock of the public labor stock market.
