Present and learn about Conventional Thermal Generation Power Plants. Analyze and understand what the theoretical principles on which they are based consist of, what types there are, what are their structures, main components, how they work, what they consume and how they interact with the environment. Study the situation in which these facilities are currently in Spain and in the world and analyze what future prospects they may have.
The Conventional Thermal Generation course opens a spectrum of job opportunities in the energy sector. Graduates will be trained to work in the operation and maintenance of steam plants, gas turbines and diesel engines, as well as nuclear power plants. They can also serve as consultants in the energy transition, focusing on the optimization and updating of conventional thermal plants towards more efficient and sustainable technologies.
The "Conventional Thermal Generation" course equips you with essential knowledge about conventional thermal generation power plants. You will cover topics from the introduction to thermodynamics and fuels to the in-depth analysis of steam plants, gas turbines and diesel engines. You will explore nuclear energy, studying its operation, structures and critical components, as well as interaction with the environment. You will acquire a clear vision of its current state and global perspectives.
