- Make supplies and organize the work by interpreting the upholstery order, in order to achieve the required quality, within the established time. - Prepare, adjust and readjust machines and tools, as well as their first-level maintenance and, where appropriate, under the supervision of the person in charge and according to established procedures. - Carry out the stripping or disassembling of the covers and the filling of upholstered structures, identifying the pieces and the order of extraction for their use as a template and, where appropriate, under the supervision of the person in charge. - Mark and cut the pieces, as well as the necessary accessories, taking into account the characteristics of the materials, optimizing their use and, where appropriate, under the supervision of the person in charge. - Prepare the materials and assemble, by sewing or other joining techniques, the pieces and accessories to obtain the upholstery with the expected quality and, where appropriate, under the supervision of the person in charge. - Carry out the upholstery assembly operations according to the characteristics of each piece of furniture and, where appropriate, under the supervision of the person in charge. - Act according to the health and safety regulations that affect your job and the process.
Medium or small business or artisan workshop, self-employed or employed, dedicated to upholstering furniture and covering walls, ceilings and wall panels.
This training is in accordance with the training itinerary of the Training Module MF0429_1 Furniture Upholstery, certifying that you have passed the different Units of Competence included in it, and is aimed at the accreditation of the Professional Competencies acquired through work experience and non-formal training, through which you will be eligible to obtain the corresponding Certificate of Professionalism, through the respective calls published by the different Autonomous Communities, as well as the Ministry of Labor (Royal Decree 659/2023, of July 18, which develops the organization of the Vocational Training System and establishes a permanent procedure for the accreditation of professional skills acquired through work experience or non-formal training).
