Objectives

- Determine the surface treatments that can be applied to paper, cardboard and other supports based on the technical needs of subsequent processes. - Configure electronic control systems for surface treatment equipment in accordance with the indications established in work orders for simulated productions. - Apply technical adjustment procedures in the feeding, passage and output mechanisms of materials in surface treatment equipment based on work instructions and given materials. - Use surface treatment techniques on various materials through the application of varnishing, waxing, metallizing, corona treatments and others from different work orders. - Apply top-level maintenance techniques to surface treatment equipment, ensuring their correct functioning.

Career opportunities

Prepare complex materials, containers, packaging, stationery items and other items for domestic and hygienic use and superficially treat papers, cardboard and other materials operating on equipment and transformation lines, preparing and controlling all production parameters and the necessary raw materials, and intervening in the graphic process according to the established productivity and quality and applying the occupational risk prevention and environmental protection plan.
