Objectives

The main objectives pursued by this Show Lighting Course are: - Analyze the temporal process of staging and production of a show, assessing the relationships between the different professionals of an artistic and technical team based on the work of the team itself and the concept of the show being prepared. - Differentiate the codes and languages that intervene in the entire artistic process as an important reference in the technical work that provides the essential elements to provide it with artistic quality. - Differentiate the different parts of the theater building from an architectural and functional point of view as well as its facilities as a framework in which the live show activity is carried out. - Distinguish the different types of construction, location and environment of those ephemeral architectures capable of hosting a live show in the architectural and functional aspects of their facilities. - Analyze the scenographic event and its relationship with lighting. - Apply techniques for the development of stage lighting in live shows based on the analysis of the expressive resources of lighting, its historical evolution, artistic references and technical conditions of the venue. - Apply the concepts and structures of musical language as an element in the development of a stage interpretation. - Analyze the prevention and security measures regarding the actions of handling facilities and equipment, contained in the security plans of companies in the sector. - Apply the safety plan by analyzing the company's prevention, safety and environmental protection measures. - Apply the habits and techniques that make it possible to address, without risk to health, the physical and mental efforts that derive from the work of the technical professions of the show, identifying the risks when they arise and applying the appropriate preventive measures. - Apply the procedures and consultation methods related to current legislation applicable to public safety issues in a live show and the action protocols in case of incidents with or without an audience.
