Objectives

- Understand simple oral information in English in the field of restaurant activity, in order to respond to customer requests. - Extract information from short and simple documents written in English in the field of restoration activity, to obtain information, process it and carry out the appropriate actions. - Produce simple oral messages in English in common situations of restaurant activity, with the aim of improving service provision and materializing sales. - Produce or complete short and simple written documents in English, necessary for the marketing of the offer and the management of restoration activities. - Communicate orally with one or more clients in English, maintaining simple conversations, to improve the service offered.

Career opportunities

They carry out their activity in small-sized bars-cafes, often family-run, and may be self-employed or employed. He also carries out his professional activity in large and medium-sized catering companies, bars and cafes in the public or private sector. In this case, he or she performs his or her duties under the supervision of the head or second head of the restaurant or room, or equivalent hierarchical superior.

What it prepares you for

This training conforms to the training itinerary of the Training Module MF1051_2 Professional English for Restoration Services, certifying having passed the different Units of Competence included in it, and is aimed at the accreditation of the Professional Competencies acquired through work experience and non-formal training, through which you will opt to obtain the corresponding Certificate of Professionalism, through the respective calls published by the different Autonomous Communities, as well as the Ministry of Labor itself (Royal Decree 659/2023, of July 18, which develops the organization of the Vocational Training System and establishes a permanent procedure for the accreditation of professional skills acquired through work experience or non-formal training).
