In the field of arts and crafts, it is necessary to know the different fields of jewelry repair within the professional area of jewelry and goldsmithing. Thus, this course aims to provide the necessary knowledge for the repair of jewelry elements.

- Apply organizational techniques for basic finishing operations of elements and pieces of precious metals, identifying specificities and needs for raw materials, tools, tools and machinery. - Define the different types of basic finishes for elements and pieces of jewelry and goldsmithing (glossy, matte and bath finishes), describing the resulting final appearance for each of them. - Describe the different procedures for finishing elements and pieces of precious metals, ordering them sequentially. - Describe the different equipment and products (pulleys, pastes and grinding wheels) used to obtain gloss and matte finishes, specifying their uses and applications. - Establish, from a technical sheet of a piece of precious metal, the prior polishing operations on the elements or parts that constitute it, ordering them sequentially. - Explain the fundamentals of the electrolytic process, reasoning its application for making gold and silver baths for elements or pieces of jewelry and goldsmithing. - List and describe the main elements and products used in the application of silver and gold baths (cathodes and electrolytes), specifying their composition.
He develops his professional activity in jewelry companies and/or workshops dedicated to jewelry repair. Work as an employee, under the supervision of a hierarchical superior, or on your own.
This training is in accordance with the training itinerary of the Training Unit UF2099 Basic finishing techniques in jewelry and goldsmithing, certifying having passed the different Competence Units included in it, and is aimed at the accreditation of the professional Competencies acquired through work experience and non-formal training, through which you will be eligible to obtain the corresponding Certificate of Professionalism, through the respective calls published by the different Autonomous Communities, as well as such as the Ministry of Labor itself (Royal Decree 659/2023, of July 18, which develops the organization of the Vocational Training System and establishes a permanent procedure for the accreditation of professional skills acquired through work experience or non-formal training).
