Objectives

- Introduce the energy environment in buildings, on the one hand, the Spanish energy context and, on the other, the processes to improve the energy performance of buildings. - Study the relevant concepts of the energy behavior of a building and directives, techniques and calculation tools. - Address the study of a building, the methodology and tools necessary to evaluate its energy consumption and the steps to follow to carry out an energy audit. - Identify bioclimatic factors, as well as the parameters to take into account when achieving adequate comfort in buildings, and the measures that must be taken into account to improve energy efficiency in the envelope and energy systems of buildings. - Know all the energy systems for DHW production, air conditioning and lighting, their elements and processes, to select the most appropriate ones in each case and integrate this knowledge into common efficiency tools. - Learn about the new systems that have appeared on the market to help us reduce CO2 emissions associated with the building's activity. - Undertake the responsibility of carrying out or supervising optimal and sustainable energy management in facilities or buildings. - Know the systems that make up the technical management of buildings (BMS in English) as well as the techniques that lead to energy efficiency and the resulting savings. - Study the technologies and applications of renewable energies in buildings, their possibilities and limitations. - Know the Design Builder energy simulation programs for buildings and the official program for energy certification in Spain, the HULC. - Know the official methods for obtaining the energy efficiency rating of buildings through the use of the official computer tools offered by the Ministry of Industry, Tourism and Commerce. - Address the management of investments in energy projects, knowing both the electricity and CO2 markets, and financial management. - Know the different LEED, BREEAM and VERDE environmental certification programs with the implementation of different savings strategies

What it prepares you for

It trains students to obtain accreditation as an energy auditor, energy and environmental evaluator in the LEED, BREEAM and GREEN certifications. It allows them to enter the world of work as an expert in energy efficiency and renewable energies in the urban environment. The course is taught in 9 modules and a TFM where students must develop a complete project for a positive energy residential building or carry out a LEED certification for an office building.

- Professionals from companies or institutions that have responsibilities in the management of properties, or in their general services, in which this entity carries out its activity. - Middle managers, managers, small business owners or self-employed people, with management responsibility in their different organizations, who intend to complement their training with a new orientation towards a sustainable savings model based on energy efficiency. - Technical or administrative professionals from different departments such as purchasing, general services, financial, legal advice, etc..., who are interested in knowing some variables that can contribute to cost savings. - Professionals interested in becoming accredited as Accredited Evaluators for the GREEN certification, BREEAM Advisors or Accredited Professionals in the LEED certification by preparing the exam to obtain accreditation. - People in general who want to expand their knowledge or develop professionally in this new field of action related to the efficiency of the end use of energy and sustainability focused on buildings.

With our online learning methodology, the student begins his journey through a virtual campus designed exclusively to develop the training itinerary with the aim of improving his professional profile. The student must advance autonomously throughout the different teaching units as well as carry out the corresponding activities and self-assessments.
The load of hours of the training action includes the different activities that the student carries out throughout their itinerary. The hours of telelearning carried out on the Virtual Campus are complemented by the student's autonomous work, communication with the teacher, complementary activities and readings, and the research and creation work associated with the projects.
To obtain the degree, the student must pass all self-assessments and exams and view at least 75% of the contents of the platform. The Final Project is carried out after finishing the theoretical-practical content on Campus. Finally, it is necessary to notify the completion of the Master from the platform to begin the issuance of the degree.
