- Apply specific safety measures for assistance operations in drilling and mechanized excavation and loading, identifying the collective protections and personal protective equipment to be used depending on the work to be performed. - Recognize the tools, tools, accessories and materials used in auxiliary excavation and loading operations, identifying those that correspond to each operation. - Operate chipping and breaking hammers and manual drilling machines, applying the established procedures for their operation and maintenance, and complying with the safety provisions for this type of work. - Apply the established procedures for assistance in the work of moving, positioning and preparing drilling equipment, mechanized excavation and loading, relating the different equipment and auxiliary elements to their applications.
He develops his professional activity as an employed worker in the production area of public or private companies of small, medium or large size, dedicated to open-air or underground excavations, with or without use of the excavated materials. Performs support and auxiliary activities, carrying out orders from higher-level operators and technicians, from whom they will receive instructions and to whom they will report. Workers in open pit or underground mining operations must be previously instructed on general safety regulations and those specific to their workplace.
This training conforms to the training itinerary of the Training Module MF0854_1 Auxiliary Operations in Excavation and Loading, certifying having passed the different Units of Competence included in it, and is aimed at the accreditation of the Professional Competencies acquired through work experience and non-formal training, through which you will be eligible to obtain the corresponding Certificate of Professionalism, through the respective calls published by the different Communities. Autonomous, as well as the Ministry of Labor itself (Royal Decree 659/2023, of July 18, which develops the organization of the Vocational Training System and establishes a permanent procedure for the accreditation of professional skills acquired through work experience or non-formal training).
