In the field of graphic arts, it is necessary to know the different fields of editorial production, within the professional area of publishing. Thus, this course aims to provide the necessary knowledge for contracting and supervising prepress work.

- Analyze the prepress process followed for the manufacture of an editorial product, determining the technical documentation required for the launch and monitoring of the product. - Establish contracts with prepress companies, coordinating the different suppliers. - Supervise and verify prepress work, taking into account production criteria, based on the definition of the conditions of delivery, reception and coordination of the work.
The professional field is related to publishing houses, advertising agencies, graphic design studios, industrial design studios, departments, offices or information offices of organizations, press, workshops or printing or prepress industries. As occupations, we can highlight those of editorial production technician, quality control technician, head of the publications area and head of supply and contracting of graphic services.
This training is in accordance with the training itinerary of the Training Unit UF0253 Hiring and supervision of pre-press work, certifying that you have passed the different Units of Competence included in it, and is aimed at the accreditation of the professional Competencies acquired through work experience and non-formal training, through which you will opt to obtain the corresponding Certificate of Professionalism, through the respective calls published by the different Autonomous Communities, as well as the Ministry of Labor itself (Royal Decree 659/2023, of July 18, which develops the organization of the Vocational Training System and establishes a permanent procedure for the accreditation of professional skills acquired through work experience or non-formal training).
