Objectives

- Understand the origin and evolution of human odor and its dispersion in collapsed structures, buildings and confined spaces, as well as the safety and self-protection measures to work in these environments. - Stipulate when and how canine teams are used to search and locate people through ventilation in collapsed structures. - Develop a work program to train the dog, previously selected, to search and locate people in collapsed structures or facilities and buildings, through ventilation, taking into account their physical and attitudinal qualities. - Apply training techniques, based on an established work program, to teach a dog to search and locate people buried in collapsed structures or inside buildings, denoting the presence of the handler.

He carries out his professional activity both on his own and as an employee, in the field of small, medium and large private companies, and private homes, as well as in public administrations and/or entities, related to security, defense and surveillance, detection, search, rescue and rescue of victims, search and detection of odorous substances, in support operations for entities associated with security and/or civil protection. In general, its activity is carried out autonomously, although it may depend, circumstantially, on a hierarchical superior.
