Expert Course in Intervention with Women Victims of Gender Violence + Course in Prevention of Gender Violence (Double Degree + 8 ECTS Credits)

To provide professional care to victims of domestic violence or other types of abuse, as well as to carry out intervention in prevention measures in minors and adolescents, it is necessary to have a series of knowledge that is intended to be achieved through the following objectives: -Explore the evolution of gender violence throughout history, examining the most significant cultural and sociological data that make this type of violence a current problem as corroborated by the statistics offered. -Start from the Declaration of Human Rights to analyze the human rights of women throughout history and thus be able to specify the concept of equality between men and women. -Point out how different aspects related to sex and male and female gender have influenced and influence society and the socialization process from the childhood stage and in the formation of culture, giving rise to different roles and stereotypes. -Offer a broad theoretical framework that addresses both the concept of gender violence, as well as the sociological and psychological theories and models that attempt to explain it, as well as the behaviors of both the aggressor and the victim, useful when carrying out the intervention. -Explain the basic legal framework of reference regarding gender violence and equality in Spain, as well as the guarantees, rights and aid that it establishes and to which women victims of gender violence can opt. -Offer a wide range of techniques to favor and facilitate dealings with the victim and thus be able to carry out the guidelines for action and legal, psychological and social intervention offered. - Describe the problems and scope of gender violence in today's society. - Carry out an approach to the concept of gender violence and the explanatory models of it. - Offer a complex vision of the different types of attacks against women. - Describe the profile of the aggressor and the victim of gender violence. - Provide a vision of the legal bases and equality policies in which the actions of the police with victims of gender violence are framed. - Describe the protocols for police action with victims of gender violence. - Offer guidelines for social intervention with victims of gender violence.
