- Train participants so that they can develop effective psychosocial support in crisis, emergency and disaster situations. - Learn the basic principles of disaster medicine and initial health care for multiple victims and the way health care is organized both at the hospital and out-of-hospital level. - Know basic and advanced life support techniques, rescue and evacuation of the injured, and the equipment used for this. - Organize the bases of health logistics in disaster scenarios, knowing the types of disasters and their effects, as well as the appropriate phases of action. - Provide the student with knowledge about the usual material of emergency teams as well as communication and transmission systems in emergencies. - Know the different types of existing emergency plans, their organization, activation and implementation, and effective communication in this area. - Become familiar with the use and preparation of risk maps, as well as with the different documents necessary for cataloging available means and resources.
