The final objective is to make theoretical training compatible with calculation and resolution of practical cases that allow students to finish the course with the criteria and resources to face real problems. By taking this master's degree, the student will obtain a practical and general vision in a very specialized branch of civil engineering, such as road maintenance. The teaching methodology is based on a completely distance education model with asynchronous operation (in delayed time) so that each person can study at their own pace and without schedules: from anywhere, at any time. Teaching and learning takes place in virtual classrooms. These classrooms host different tools such as forums, messaging, etc. that allow interaction with teachers and assistants, and give the training a bidirectional character.
Upon completion, students will be able to analyze the types of deterioration and problems derived from poor conservation in road infrastructure, propose the most appropriate intervention in each case to solve the problem and manage the construction process. Likewise, students will be able to evaluate the different solutions to find the one that offers the appropriate level of security while being economically competitive. Professionals trained in road maintenance can access jobs in construction and service companies, public administrations, project consultancies and engineering companies in general.
This degree will enable students to manage and solve common problems that occur in road maintenance contracts, optimizing the use of resources and using engineering techniques and procedures especially focused on this type of actions.
