- Analyze what psychological processes interact in the development of behavioral addictions. - Deepen the knowledge of addiction to new technologies as the most incisive addiction in adolescence, identifying its main consequences and establishing the criteria for its diagnosis. - Identify the causes of the development of behavioral addictions, as well as the genetic elements that favor their appearance. - Briefly define prevention and highlight its importance in intervention with adolescents as a starting point for any action. - Differentiate the operational levels of prevention applied to intervention with minors. - Establish the different phases that make up the intervention process with minors in cases of developing addictions.
Technician or monitor in associations or institutions of the third sector, or in private sector entities that dedicate their service to intervention with minors. You may perform your duties in schools, community associations, independently or in the public administration in specific cases.
This course aims to provide the student with technical and theoretical training in the field of drug addiction, focusing directly on intervention with minor adolescents who start using drugs, which can cause the development of disorders derived from substance use, if not this disorder itself. Students will learn the main explanations given from psychology to this phenomenon, as well as the criteria to follow to execute a prevention program and the bases of intervention with minors, from various areas.
