- Understand Disaster Risk Management as a continuous process built on social, cultural, economic and institutional circumstances, and that operates in contexts of constant threat, climate variability and climate change. - Identify and analyze the actions and measures required for prospective and corrective risk management. - Understand disaster risk financial management, climate finance and post-disaster recovery processes after a disaster. - Understand the role and operations of technological and information tools relevant to risk management, climate variability and climate change. - Understand the context of climate change and its relationship with Disaster Risk Management. - Analyze the global challenges of climate governance, the key actors and the mechanisms and measures required to address these challenges. - Understand the different tools and measures of adaptive climate governance applied by territorial, sectoral, institutional, public, private and communal agencies. - Encourage knowledge creation to promote research and development of risk management and climate governance approaches.
