Objectives

The objective of the master's degree will be to train professionals who are capable of: - Understanding the international context of the mining business, and the international legislation on mining and mining infrastructure. - Establish approach and planning strategies in mining from the exploration and geological evaluation of the deposit to the design of resources and facilities - Implement tools, procedures and techniques in mining production: underground and open pit - Recognize the logistical and supply chain aspects of the mining sector, including the planning, execution and control of products in the correct quantity, quality and time, management of transportation, storage and distribution until the final contact with suppliers and customers, the forecast of supply and demand among others. - Establish and implement marketing strategies and channels within the global market for mining products. - Plan and manage the quality management system, occupational health and safety, environmental protection, and sustainability and corporate responsibility in the mining business. - Connect and align the elements corresponding to the formulation and evaluation of a mining project with the elements corresponding to the management and control of a mining project.

The graduate of the program will be able to have knowledge and skills to: Direct strategic, technical, operational and administrative management in the mining sector expand their job opportunities within the technical areas of planning, design, construction and exploitation of mines and associated infrastructure. Recognize and apply the technical, environmental and legal regulatory framework around mining practice and the management of associated systems under globally recognized standards. Formulate a mining investment project, taking into account both the technical and economic aspects, as well as the social and environmental aspects. Have methodological support for the practical application of mine management in your work environment.

The following master's degree will prepare students to assume leadership and management roles in the mining industries, achieving the specialized preparation necessary in mining operations, environmental regulations, safety, etc. In this way the efficiency of the activity will be improved exponentially.

Professionals in mining, civil, geology, metallurgical, electrical, automation, instrumentation and control, mechanical, environmental, industrial maintenance, administration and management of mining operations, and people interested in developing their skills in strategic, technical, operational and administrative management in the mining sector.

With our online learning methodology, the student begins his journey through a virtual campus designed exclusively to develop the training itinerary with the aim of improving his professional profile. The student must advance autonomously throughout the different teaching units as well as carry out the corresponding activities and self-assessments.
The load of hours of the training action includes the different activities that the student carries out throughout their itinerary. The hours of telelearning carried out on the Virtual Campus are complemented by the student's autonomous work, communication with the teacher, complementary activities and readings, and the research and creation work associated with the projects.
To obtain the degree, the student must pass all self-assessments and exams and view at least 75% of the contents of the platform. The Final Project is carried out after finishing the theoretical-practical content on Campus. Finally, it is necessary to notify the completion of the Master from the platform to begin the issuance of the degree.
