Objectives

The main objective of the Master's Degree is to provide practical knowledge to undertake port or maritime projects from design and planning to the execution of work, including the analysis and preparation of offers, all with an eminently practical and international approach. Offer the student a general vision of the typologies, mechanical means, materials used and execution procedures of the maritime works and structures that constitute a port. The contents are oriented towards construction, therefore being of an eminently practical nature, and not delving into other aspects, such as project and calculation. The Master also seeks to achieve the following specific objectives: - Know the different types of ports and ships it serves. - Know the different types of maritime works. - Know the construction procedures usually used. - Know the different types of materials and their implementation. - Know the mechanical means usually used on site. - Train for the basic planning of a maritime work.

The Master is aimed at professionals who need to increase their knowledge related to maritime works, at all professionals in the CONSTRUCTION SECTOR with basic knowledge in civil engineering who want to acquire general training in the execution of maritime and port works. In that sense, it is very attractive for personnel from construction companies with interests in international projects. Therefore, the course is aimed at engineers, architects, public works designers, construction managers, construction managers, public administration technicians, and students or professionals in the field of CIVIL ENGINEERING in general.

With our online learning methodology, the student begins his journey through a virtual campus designed exclusively to develop the training itinerary with the aim of improving his professional profile. The student must advance autonomously throughout the different teaching units as well as carry out the corresponding activities and self-assessments.
The load of hours of the training action includes the different activities that the student carries out throughout their itinerary. The hours of telelearning carried out on the Virtual Campus are complemented by the student's autonomous work, communication with the teacher, complementary activities and readings, and the research and creation work associated with the projects.
To obtain the degree, the student must pass all self-assessments and exams and view at least 75% of the contents of the platform. The Final Project is carried out after finishing the theoretical-practical content on Campus. Finally, it is necessary to notify the completion of the Master from the platform to begin the issuance of the degree.
