The objective of the master's degree will be to train professionals who are capable of: - Encouraging the generation of knowledge to promote research and propose proposals for addressing disaster risk management for resilience. - Understand disaster risk management as a continuous process that is built from the conditions - Understand disaster risk financial management, climate finance, and post-disaster recovery processes. - Know the technology and information instruments applicable to risk management and climate variability and climate change. - Recognize the context of climate variability and climate change and understand its relationship with disaster risk management. - Know and understand the environmental, territorial and municipal instruments and actions that allow disaster risk management, in order to strengthen and increase resilience. - Identify and understand public, private and community investment instruments and actions for disaster risk management and resilience. - Understand the approach to corrective disaster risk management, the actors, limitations and opportunities of structural risk reduction measures, and their relationship with increasing resilience.
You will be a professional with knowledge of the processes, dynamics and relationships between development, disaster risk and resilience. You will be able to participate in consulting or advisory services for the preparation, review and evaluation of technical studies, diagnoses, strategies, instruments, programs, projects, measures, actions or risk management initiatives to reinforce and increase resilience. Participation and technical advice in post-disaster recovery processes. Official of public entities or private companies with specialized knowledge or teacher.
Training of multidisciplinary professionals with knowledge of the processes, dynamics and relationships between development, disaster risk and resilience, as well as knowledge and capabilities for the implementation of strategic measures and instruments necessary for the intervention of current and future disaster risk conditions, and capabilities to address strategies, programs, projects, and sectoral, territorial, institutional, public, private and community risk management instruments, which allow reinforcing and increasing resilience.
