However, currently, the presence of professionals who know how to help in the socio-health field at home to people with special physical, mental and social health needs is essential, applying the most appropriate strategies and procedures to maintain and improve their personal autonomy and their relationships with the environment. Thus, this course will try to provide the necessary knowledge to develop home psychosocial care interventions aimed at people with social and health care needs.

Career opportunities

In general, you may carry out your activity in the organization, execution and control of direct social-health care activities for people and their environment at home. Specifically, you may be hired by: Public Administrations, mainly municipal and regional, in charge of the management and provision of home care services for dependent people.* Private entities, with or without profit motive, whether they offer direct services to the user, or if they are responsible for the management of publicly owned home care services or programs.* As a self-employed person, offering their services directly to demanding cohabitation units or creating their own home services company, associated with other technicians.

What it prepares you for

This training is in accordance with the training itinerary of the Training Module MF0250_2 Home Psychosocial Care and Support, certifying that you have passed the different Units of Competence included in it, and is aimed at accrediting the Professional Competencies acquired through work experience and non-formal training, through which you will be eligible to obtain the corresponding Certificate of Professionalism, through the respective calls published by the different Autonomous Communities, as well as such as the Ministry of Labor itself (Royal Decree 659/2023, of July 18, which develops the organization of the Vocational Training System and establishes a permanent procedure for the accreditation of professional skills acquired through work experience or non-formal training).
