- Carry out the assembly and disassembly operations of the machinery of a fine mechanical watch and the external elements in an orderly manner, carrying out an analysis of the different components. - Carry out cleaning and greasing operations on the fine mechanical watch machinery, following the manufacturer's specifications. - Apply quality control and finishing techniques in fine mechanical watchmaking, checking operation and taking into account customer information.
He carries out his professional activity in stores, companies and/or watchmaking workshops dedicated to the distribution, sale, repair and maintenance of fine mechanical watches and/or vintage, historical and automatic watches. Works self-employed or employed by others, repairs fine mechanical watches and carries out auxiliary restoration activities for vintage, historical and automatic watch mechanisms, under the supervision of a senior technician in the case of watches that enjoy unique protection and guardianship that appear in the Heritage Catalog or those declared of cultural interest included in the General Inventory of Movable Property of Spanish Historical Heritage (Law 16/1985 on Spanish Historical Heritage and Royal Decree 111/1986 partial development of the Law).
This training is in accordance with the training itinerary of the Training Unit UF2429 Disassembly, cleaning, assembly, lubrication and adjustment of fine mechanical clockwork, certifying having passed the different Competence Units included in it, and is aimed at the accreditation of the professional Competencies acquired through work experience and non-formal training, a route through which you will opt to obtain the corresponding Certificate of Professionalism, through the respective calls published by the different Autonomous Communities, as well as the Ministry of Labor itself (Royal Decree 659/2023, of July 18, which develops the organization of the Vocational Training System and establishes a permanent procedure for the accreditation of professional skills acquired through work experience or non-formal training).
