Swimming is one of the "queen" sports, since it can be practiced by most people without age limits and provides countless benefits for the body. To the advantages of practicing physical activity we must add those of practicing it in the aquatic environment, in which, because the gravity is different, the activities have a low impact on the different parts of our body, reducing the tension on the bones and joints as much as possible. This course offers you the necessary training to be able to work as a Swimming Monitor. We must also know that Therapeutic Swimming is understood as those health programs that are aimed, on the one hand, at compensating deviations of the spinal column, and on the other hand, at compensating for diseases and injuries that may appear in adulthood, using aquatic movements described in the framework of educational swimming. The Spanish Fitness Federation only accredits content related to physical activity; any mention of technical-tactical aspects is outside its powers and accreditation.

What it prepares you for

The following course prepares you to be able to work as a Swimming Monitor and/or Therapeutic Swimming Monitor, training you for the preparation and development of teaching programs in aquatic activities, according to the different methodological trends applicable to the teaching of swimming and other specialties, and for the recovery of injuries in people using swimming as a means of rehabilitation.

This course is aimed at swimming instructors, sports trainers, physiotherapists and health professionals interested in improving their knowledge of swimming techniques and therapeutic swimming.
