By completing this Therapeutic Swimming Course, it is intended that students achieve the following objectives: - Delve into the history of swimming. - Know the development and different methodologies that can be used in swimming. - Learn the different approaches and applications of aquatic activities. - Know and put into practice some pedagogical considerations for Swimming instructors. - Know the different injuries and be able to rehabilitate them through swimming. - Create educational aquatic activities. - Know the different basic techniques and styles most used in Swimming. - Acquire knowledge regarding first aid and water rescue.

What it prepares you for

The following Therapeutic Swimming course prepares you to be able to work as a Therapeutic Swimming Monitor. It will train you to prepare and develop teaching programs in aquatic activities. According to the different methodological trends applicable to the teaching of swimming and other specialties. It also prepares you for recovery from injuries in people using swimming as a means of rehabilitation.

This Therapeutic Swimming course is aimed at Swimming Instructors, Personal Trainers, Sports Trainers, Physiotherapists and Graduates in Occupational Therapy. Or anyone who wants to train as a Therapeutic Swimming Monitor.

Furthermore, once the training is completed, the student will become part of the Spanish Registry of Exercise Professionals (ESREPs) that includes exercise professionals, establishing a QUALITY STANDARD and a REGISTRATION PROFESSIONAL to guarantee safe and effective advice to clients using fitness facilities by QUALIFIED PROFESSIONALS. The Spanish Fitness Federation only accredits content related to physical activity; any mention of technical-tactical aspects is outside its powers and accreditation.
