The hearing aid is an electronic device that amplifies sounds, therefore it is an instrument capable of artificially replacing hearing loss. Thus, this course aims to provide the necessary knowledge for the selection and adjustment of hearing aids.

- Analyze the morphology of the patient's external ear, taking an impression of it, according to established protocols and applicable regulations. - Select the type of non-implanted hearing prosthesis that covers the patient's hearing loss, according to the patient's characteristics, according to established protocols and applicable regulations. - Identify equipment used in audiological examinations and tests, in order to select and adjust hearing aids. - Analyze the needs for the use of complementary technical hearing aids, according to patient characteristics, established protocols and applicable regulations. - Apply procedures to adjust a non-implanted hearing prosthesis, according to recommendations included in the selected adaptation method, established protocols and applicable regulations. - Apply procedures to electronically adjust implanted middle ear hearing prostheses, according to recommendations included in the adaptation method, established protocols and applicable regulations. - Analyze systems for intervention in patients with tinnitus, making electroacoustic adjustments, according to established protocols and applicable regulations.
He develops his professional activity in the field of health service provision, health care area, in public or private entities. He carries out his activity depending, functionally and/or hierarchically, on a superior. Their professional activity is subject to regulation by the competent Administration. This training is in accordance with the training itinerary of the Training Module MF0384_3 Selection and adjustment of hearing aids, certifying that you have passed the different Units of Competence included in it, and is aimed at the accreditation of the Professional Competencies acquired through work experience and non-formal training, through which you will opt to obtain the corresponding Certificate of Professionalism, through the respective calls published by the different Autonomous Communities, as well as your own.
