Market research is a tool used by the company's marketing department and management, which consists of the collection and analysis of information about any situation and behavior of a product or service in the market and which constitutes an essential element of help in decision making. Its purpose is for the manager to have all the data necessary to adopt a marketing strategy or develop a specific tactic or action, as well as to monitor them. This course will equip the student to be able to intervene in the organization and supervision of obtaining information, through different media or information and communication technologies, coordinating and controlling or conducting surveys/interviews and collaborating in the presentation of market research conclusions for decision-making in organizations.

Objectives

- Define an effective and efficient information collection procedure, based on different information collection techniques in relation to a demand or objectives of the research plan. - Design questionnaires to collect information to carry out surveys both in person, by telephone and online. - Obtain relevant and reliable information by exploiting information sources, databases and online and offline information and communication systems. - Apply procedures for organizing and filing data and information obtained given information needs or demands, using computer applications for processing and organizing information. - Define the elements and characteristics of a sample by applying the different sampling techniques used in market research. - Determine contact criteria for interviewees based on the criteria established in a market research plan.

Career opportunities

It carries out its activity, on its own or on behalf of others, in companies, organizations and market and public opinion research institutes, in companies specialized in conducting surveys (field networks) and in marketing departments or companies, supporting the implementation of surveys and/or market and opinion studies.

This training is in accordance with the training itinerary of the Training Module, MF0993_3 Organization of Market Research, certifying that you have passed the different Units of Competence included in it, and is aimed at accrediting the professional Competencies acquired through work experience and non-formal training, through which you will be eligible to obtain the corresponding Certificate of Professionalism, through the respective calls published by the different Autonomous Communities, as well as the Ministry of Labor itself (Royal Decree 659/2023, of July 18, which develops the organization of the Vocational Training System and establishes a permanent procedure for the accreditation of professional skills acquired through work experience or non-formal training).
