- Explain the operation of the mechanisms and equipment of the props for the suspension and movement of scenographic elements related to the props, both in fixed locations and in assemblies carried out in ephemeral spaces, justifying the choice of devices based on the technical requirements. - Apply specific techniques and procedures for handling, assembly and operation of prop elements based on the analysis of the breakdown, structure and functionality of the constituent parts, their location in the scenic space and their scenic play, following the assembly plan and carrying out the operations safely. - Apply techniques and procedures typical of props for the suspension and movement of scenographic elements, both in fixed locations and in montages carried out in ephemeral spaces, applying knowledge about the criteria with which they are designed, the functions they perform, the pre-established uses and the safety requirements in the environment of applications intended for the live entertainment industry. - Maintain attitudes and behaviors, according to the codes of professional conduct in live show assembly and disassembly processes. - Apply operating principles and procedures for risk prevention related to the safety of workers in the assembly and disassembly of sets. - Apply specific techniques and procedures in carrying out the disassembly of the scenic prop elements based on the analysis of the disassembly, structure and functionality of the constituent parts, following the disassembly plan and carrying out the operations safely. - Apply techniques and procedures for corrective and preventive maintenance of prop materials, equipment and installations, guaranteeing their condition and safety in their use. - Apply techniques and procedures for the storage of props, equipment and consumable materials, which prevent their deterioration and ensure their availability and using computer tools for their management. - Apply modeling and mold techniques and procedures in the repair and maintenance of props based on a pre-established design and applying safety and prevention concepts in workshop work. - Apply reproduction techniques and procedures in the repair and maintenance of props based on a pre-established design and applying safety and prevention concepts in workshop work. - Apply finishing techniques, painting, textures and imitation of materials in props, taking into account the aesthetics of scenographic proposals and concepts of safety and risk prevention in workshop work.
He develops his professional activity in large, medium and small companies dedicated to live performances in all types of shows and events, with the presence of a live audience, under the direction of higher level technicians or in collaboration with graduates of the same level. Work in entertainment venues as an employee or as a freelancer in touring companies or service companies.
This training conforms to the training itinerary of the Training Module MF1720_3 Stage Prop Processes Applied to Live Performance, certifying having passed the different Units of Competence included in it, and is aimed at the accreditation of the Professional Competencies acquired through work experience and non-formal training, through which you will be eligible to obtain the corresponding Certificate of Professionalism, through the respective calls published by the different Autonomous Communities, as well as the Ministry of Labor itself (Royal Decree 659/2023, of July 18, which develops the organization of the Vocational Training System and establishes a permanent procedure for the accreditation of professional skills acquired through work experience or non-formal training).
