General learning objective: - Study the different instruments to plan, characterize, evaluate and regulate aspects related to environmental and disaster risk management at different territorial scales. - Know the different dimensions of the meaning of “territory” to be able to apply it in instruments for environmental and risk management at different territorial scales of analysis - Identify the characteristics to make diagnostic instruments for environmental and risk management based on the characterization of threats - Define the different types of planning related to environmental and risk management, as well as their link with the impacts of climate change and sustainable development - Review the components of impact management instruments and monitoring plans related to environmental planning and risks.
After completing the course in environmental and disaster risk management, graduates will be prepared for strategic roles in territorial and environmental planning. You will master the scales of analysis, diagnosis and planning, which qualifies you for jobs in environmental consultancies, government agencies in emergency management or in NGOs focused on sustainability and disaster prevention.
