- Achieve the best possible quality of life for the elderly population, through promotion, prevention and assistance activities. - Assess the state of health of the elderly by objectively recording the manifestations of dependence and independence they have in the face of each of the fundamental needs. - Develop physical care interventions aimed at dependent people in Nursing Homes. - Develop social and health care interventions aimed at dependent people in Nursing Homes. - Develop psychosocial care interventions aimed at dependent people in Nursing Homes. - Know what aspects to consider in older people when they suffer alterations in body temperature - Learn the types of predisposing factors in urinary incontinence - Know the field of nursing and the application of first aid in geriatrics if necessary. - Manage material and personal resources in a unit/service and the first aid actions that may be required. - Know how the different specific nursing procedures in geriatrics work. - Provide students with the necessary knowledge to carry out first aid actions. - Recognize risk and emergency situations and adopt the most appropriate prevention and protection measures in each case.
