Objectives

- Coordinate contingency intervention operations, required by the Contingency Coordination Center, in adverse meteorological phenomena, such as floods, snowfall, hail, gales and hurricanes. - Coordinate the operations of the intervention unit in collaboration with the civil protection operational groups in contingencies, in the search for people in open spaces and/or trapped by land displacement caused by earthquakes or landslides, for their rescue. - Organize logistics activities to support contingencies in the natural and rural environment, providing equipment and products necessary to assist civil protection operational groups.

Career opportunities

He develops his professional activity in forest fire extinguishing services as a worker dependent on public administrations, as well as in public and private companies dedicated to agroforestry and environmental work, at the head of an intervention unit and in collaboration with other intervention units and/or civil protection operational groups, under the supervision of a responsible superior. Collaborates in the prevention of risks in its area of responsibility, being able to perform the basic function of preventing occupational risks.

This training conforms to the training itinerary of the Training Module MF1969_3 Tasks of Support for Civil Protection Operational Groups in the Natural and Rural Environment, certifying having passed the different Units of Competence included in it, and is aimed at the accreditation of the professional Competencies acquired through work experience and non-formal training, through which you will be eligible to obtain the corresponding Certificate of Professionalism, through the respective calls published by the different Autonomous Communities, as well as the Ministry of Labor itself (Royal Decree 659/2023, of July 18, which develops the organization of the Vocational Training System and establishes a permanent procedure for the accreditation of professional skills acquired through work experience or non-formal training).
