Therefore, the present course of Paleontology Specialist aims to provide information on this chronostratigraphic division, associated with the dating of the fossil remains found so far. In addition, it also provides information on the paleontological research process and how to recognize whether a fossil specimen is authentic or, on the contrary, it is a falsification.

- Describe the general concepts of paleontology and differentiate between branches of knowledge related to it. - Define what a fossil is and how fossilization occurs. - Explain how chronology is addressed in relation to paleontology, and how to identify the remains found in relation to time and it was that it corresponds to it. - Describe the main characteristics of the eras currently described, identifying the most notorious species that were developed in each of them. - Know the great deposits that have provided a large number of copies and information to paleontological knowledge. - Describe the basic concepts about paleontological prospecting, in relation to the guidance in the field and the instruments to be used for it. - Explain the relationship between cartography and paleontology, highlighting the practical application of one over another. - Identify the steps to follow in a paleontological investigation, since it is decided to look for remains until they are. - Describe the basic knowledge necessary for the appraisal of a fossil specimen. - Identify and describe the main methods used in fossil falsification.

This course of Paleontology specialist prepares you to know how life was developed millions of years ago, since the land was formed to the present. It also prepares you to know the different species of living beings that have populated the planet over the years and the generations and extinctions of them. In addition, it prepares you to develop a paleontological investigation, since the place to explore is decided until the fossil remains are found, and how to orient themselves in the field for their location. It also provides information on the assessment of fossils and their authentication in the market.

This course is aimed at those professionals who are interested in knowing the methods of appraisal and assessment of authentic and counterfeit fossils in relation to the market and the dissemination of knowledge. It is also aimed at anyone who is interested in knowing the process of a paleontological investigation and how to identify the fossil remains found, and in general any person interested in the evolution of living beings over time, since the land formed millions of years ago until today.

This training is not included in the scope of official regulated training (Infant Education, Primary Education, Secondary Education, Official Professional Training FP, Baccalaureate, University Degree, Official University Master and PhD). It is therefore a complementary and/or specialization training, aimed at acquiring certain skills, skills or aptitudes of a professional nature, being able to be barely as merit in workbags and/or opposition competitions, always within the complementary training section and/or continuous training being always essential to review the specific requirements of the public labor stock of the public labor stock market.
