- Know the essential characteristics and theories about aging, to understand this sector more easily. - Develop a program of socio-educational animation activities for older people that guarantee their well-being and improve their quality of life. - Provide the student with the tools to achieve effective and efficient development of senior animation programs. - Know the elements that determine physical activity in older people. - Prevent diseases in older people through physical activity. - Develop a program of recreational-leisure physical activities that improves the health and well-being of the elderly. - Participate in the design of socio-cultural activities, activity promotion campaigns, work coordination and supervision of the activities carried out. - Acquire all the knowledge, procedures and attitudes to work as a sociocultural monitor-animator.

This course will provide the student with the necessary knowledge to carry out both entertainment activities and physical activity exercises with the elderly sector with the aim of guaranteeing their well-being and improving their quality of life. It will also enable the student to organize sociocultural animation activities, both in the urban environment and in nature. This Course Monitor – Sociocultural Animator is Accredited by the ANTONIO DE NEBRIJA UNIVERSITY with 5 European University Credits (ECTS), being baremable in the job market and competition-competition of the Public Administration (Course approved for oppositions of the Ministry of Education, section 2.5, Royal Decree 276/2007).
