Currently there is a great diversity of activities related to swimming, therefore, it is essential in this area to know how to program, direct and energize the teaching-learning processes, basic physical conditioning and competitions and small events related to swimming activities aimed at all types of users, with a recreational and healthy approach, adapting them to the characteristics of the participants and the environment, with the optimal level of safety and quality that allows customer/user satisfaction to be achieved within the limits of the expected cost. The Spanish Fitness Federation only accredits content related to physical activity; any mention of technical-tactical aspects is outside its powers and accreditation.

- Execute specific swimming techniques effectively and safely. - Schedule teaching and basic physical conditioning activities related to swimming activities. - Direct learning and basic physical conditioning in swimming activities. - Organize and collaborate in unofficial competitions at a basic or social level and recreational sports events in the aquatic environment. - Assist as first responder in case of accident or emergency situation. - Rescue people in case of accident or emergency situation in aquatic facilities.

Career opportunities

He develops his professional activity both in the public sphere, whether general, regional or local administrations, as well as in private entities, whether large, medium or small companies that offer teaching services, physical conditioning and organization of competitions and small swimming events and aquatic activities for all types of users (pregnant women, midwives, babies, school age, adults, people over 65 years of age, special groups, disabled people, among others). Its activity takes place in conventional swimming pools.

What it prepares you for

This training conforms to the training itinerary of the Professional Certificate AFDA0310 Swimming Activities, certifying having passed the different Units of Competence included in it, and is aimed at the accreditation of the professional Competencies acquired through work experience and non-formal training, a route through which you will opt to obtain the corresponding Certificate of Professionalism, through the respective calls published by the different Autonomous Communities, as well as the Ministry of Labor itself. (Royal Decree 659/2023, of July 18, which develops the organization of the Vocational Training System and establishes a permanent procedure for the accreditation of professional skills acquired through work experience or non-formal training).

In general, to all those people interested in acquiring knowledge related to basic skills and abilities and specific swimming techniques in the aquatic environment, with the programming of swimming activities, with the methodology and instructions to follow, as well as with recreational events and competitions in the environment, in addition to first aid.
