- Manage ecological techniques and methods that maintain the appropriate balance between parasites, pathogens and the crop. - Describe each of the usable ecological infrastructures that serve as balancers between phytoparasites and their predators and/or parasitoids. - List and correctly describe the cultural, physical and biotechnical techniques that prevent pests, diseases and unwanted spontaneous vegetation. - Describe the machines, implements and tools used in cultural, physical and biotechnical methods. - Indicate the risk prevention measures that affect the management of preventive techniques and methods of health control. - Describe and recognize the most frequent parasitic and non-parasitic agents, unwanted spontaneous vegetation, nutritional deficiencies, diseases and physiopathies that cause damage to plants and soils, according to the observation made. - Carry out counts and take samples with the appropriate techniques and materials, correctly determining and quantifying the auxiliary fauna, pests, diseases, unwanted spontaneous vegetation and observed physiopathies. - Select the organic products to use based on the health assessment of the agroecosystem. - Indicate what safety and ecological production measures must be taken when applying biological treatments. - Correctly maintain the machines, equipment and material used - Collect waste or by-products from the application and washing process for recycling and/or disposal. - Carry out the above operations taking appropriate measures to prevent occupational risks and ecological production.
This professional carries out his activity as a qualified employee or self-employed worker in organic crops: Organic horticultural and fruit farms, Organic herbaceous crop farms, Production of plants for organic gardening, Research and experimentation institutions in organic crops, Service to organic agriculture, Nurseries and school gardens, Certification of organic products, Farm schools, Nature classrooms, etc.
This training is adjusted to the training itinerary of the Training Unit Prevention of the health status of organic crops and application of products, certifying having passed the different Competence Units included in it, and is aimed at the accreditation of the professional Competencies acquired through work experience and non-formal training.
