Objectives
- Apply identification and diagnosis procedures of the state of the gemological material in a piece of jewelry, considering the degree of conservation, characteristics, shapes, cuts and aesthetic properties of the gems. - Prepare technical information about the gemological material set in a piece of jewelry. - Apply gemological material selection techniques by tones, cuts, sizes and qualities and interpreting technical information.
Career opportunities
He develops his professional activity in jewelry companies and/or workshops dedicated to jewelry repair. Work as an employee, under the supervision of a hierarchical superior, or on your own.
What it prepares you for
This training conforms to the training itinerary of the UF2102 Basic Gemology Training Unit, certifying having passed the different Competence Units included in it, and is aimed at the accreditation of the professional Competencies acquired through work experience and non-formal training, a route through which you will opt to obtain the corresponding Certificate of Professionalism, through the respective calls published by the different Autonomous Communities, as well as the Ministry of Labor itself (Royal Decree 659/2023, of July 18, which develops the organization of the Vocational Training System and establishes a permanent procedure for the accreditation of professional skills acquired through work experience or non-formal training).
