The Training of Alert Dogs and Bonding with People with Hearing Impairments course prepares you to train dogs to assist people with hearing disabilities, both in controlled environments and in public access. You will learn how to teach dogs to identify and alert about specific sounds, improving the independence and safety of their users. Additionally, you will acquire skills to foster an effective bond between dog and person. This course is complementary training and does not qualify for professional practice. This training is in accordance with the training itinerary of the Training Unit UF2692 Training of alert dogs and bonding with people with hearing disabilities, belonging to the Training Module MF2018_3 Training techniques applied to signal dogs, certifying having passed the different Competence Units included in it, and is aimed at the accreditation of the Professional Competencies acquired through work experience and non-formal training, a route for which you will opt for obtaining the corresponding Certificate of Professionalism, through the respective calls published by the different Autonomous Communities, as well as the Ministry of Labor itself (Royal Decree 659/2023, of July 18, which develops the organization of the Vocational Training System and establishes a permanent procedure for the accreditation of professional skills acquired through work experience or non-formal training).
