The knowledge of the situations in which the intervention of health system is required is fundamental, since a correct action in time can mean the prompt recovery of a patient, or on the contrary the aggravation of their situation. In addition, these types of emergency and urgency situations require a series of knowledge related to intervention from the psychological point of view, which help improve intervention with the patient and their environment. Through the present Master in Emergency Medicine, students are intended to offer professional skills and skills to intervene professionally in these situations.

- Know the structure of the Spanish health system. - Determine the patient's initial assessment protocol. - Know the actions to be carried out in situations of medical emergency. - Develop knowledge and skills for the application of basic and advanced life support. - Determine the necessary conditions to obtain a quality health service. - Know the Acting to Emergency Collective, Emergency Triage. - Know the main focuses of psychological intervention that can occur in the emergency room. - Know the main psychological intervention strategies related to the health field. - Recognize psychological risk situations when they occur. - Apply the techniques and skills required in each risk situation. - Solve these risk situations with determination. - Describe the general action procedure in the alarm and approach phases. - Explain the objectives, methods and elements for the recognition of the stage. - Explain the principles and procedures for the organization of healthcare areas. - Describe the organizational deployment procedure according to the circumstances of the event. - Describe the proceeding procedure in the management of corpses, before a stage of multiple victims, to facilitate its identification conservation and transport. - Coordinate and supervise the activation of the resources and means of intervention that are necessary for the efficient development of emergency operations, valuing the arrival times and access routes, and the optimization needs of the effectiveness of the medium and resources nearby. - Direct the actions of the displaced operations to the place of the incident, determining the areas of action and intervention procedures according to the emergency characteristics, supervising the actions and safety of the interveners and coordinating with other possible services that are operating in the area. - Coordinate and execute the necessary tasks that guarantee the gradual incorporation of equipment and means to the operation, the command relays, and where appropriate the change of level in the emergency direction. - Perform basic health care in different emergency situations by applying basic life support techniques, according to the established protocol.

Thanks to the Master in Emergency Medicine you can prepare to act as efficiently as possible in situations of maximum risk, emergency and urgency, being able to act properly, rapidly and satisfactory to urgent health situations. To do this, you will develop the fundamental knowledge to perform actions in emergencies and urgencies in case of catastrophe, learning to carry out the initial assessment of the patient, applying the basic concepts of psychology to the health field.

The Master in Emergency Medicine is aimed at professionals, students and graduates in the field of medicine, interested in expanding or updating their knowledge in the field of emergencies and emergencies.

This training is not included in the scope of official regulated training (Infant Education, Primary Education, Secondary Education, Official Professional Training FP, Baccalaureate, University Degree, Official University Master and PhD).
