- Know the structure of the Spanish Health System. - Determine the patient's initial assessment protocol. - Know the actions to be carried out in medical emergency situations. - Develop knowledge and skills for the application of basic and advanced life support. - Determine the necessary conditions to obtain a quality health service. - Know the action in collective emergencies, emergency triage. - Know the main sources of psychological intervention that can occur in emergencies. - Know the main psychological intervention strategies related to the health field. - Recognize psychological risk situations when they arise. - Apply the techniques and skills required in each risk situation. - Resolve these risk situations with determination. - Describe the general procedure for action in the alarm and approach phases. - Explain the objectives, methods and elements for the recognition of the scenario. - Explain the principles and procedures for the organization of healthcare areas. - Describe the organizational deployment procedure according to the circumstances of the event. - Describe the procedure for handling corpses, in a scenario of multiple victims, to facilitate their identification, conservation and transportation. - Coordinate and supervise the activation of resources and intervention means that are necessary for the efficient development of emergency operations, assessing arrival times and access routes, and the needs to optimize the effectiveness of nearby means and resources. - Direct the actions of the operatives deployed to the scene of the incident, determining the areas of action and intervention procedures according to the characteristics of the emergency, supervising the actions and safety of the responders and coordinating with other possible services that are operating in the area. - Coordinate and execute the necessary tasks that guarantee the gradual incorporation of equipment and means to the operation, the change of command, and, where appropriate, the change of level in the management of the emergency. - Provide basic health care in different emergency situations, applying basic life support techniques, according to the established protocol.

Thanks to the master's degree in emergency medicine, you will be able to prepare yourself to act as efficiently as possible in situations of maximum risk, emergency and urgency, being able to act appropriately, quickly and satisfactorily in urgent health situations. To do this, you will develop the fundamental knowledge to carry out actions in emergencies and urgencies in the event of a catastrophe, learning to carry out the initial assessment of the patient, applying the basic concepts of psychology to the healthcare field.
