- Analyze and relate the characteristics that enable the unity of the person with a disability and recurrent disabling crisis attacks and the service dog, derived from a specific illness, taking into account the prevention of dangers, the identification of risks and the well-being of the dog. - Determine specific training programs for the warning or medical alert dog to meet the needs of people with disabilities with recurrent incapacitating seizure attacks, derived from a specific disease, to warn and assist its user of possible physiological changes, attitude or unconscious changes in body language, taking into account the prevention of dangers, the identification of risks and the well-being of the dog. - Determine dissemination activities for the tasks of the warning or medical alert dog (presentation and/or exhibition, among others) in public and private events, with attention to the media, that facilitate its social acceptance, taking into account the prevention of dangers, the identification of risks and the well-being of the dog.
He carries out his professional activity both on his own and as an employee, in the field of entities related to the training of assistance dogs. Its activity, in general, is carried out autonomously under the supervision of a hierarchical superior person. In the development of professional activity, the principles of universal accessibility are applied in accordance with current legislation.
This training is in accordance with the training itinerary of the Training Unit UF2693 Knowledge and development of training programs for warning dogs for people with disabilities and recurrent crises with sensory disconnection, certifying having passed the different Competence Units included in it, and is aimed at the accreditation of the professional Competencies acquired through work experience and non-formal training, through which you will opt to obtain the corresponding Certificate of Professionalism, through the respective calls that are published by the different Autonomous Communities, as well as the Ministry of Labor itself (Royal Decree 659/2023, of July 18, which develops the organization of the Vocational Training System and establishes a permanent procedure for the accreditation of professional skills acquired through work experience or non-formal training).
