The diseases that define today's societies (obesity, diabetes, cardiovascular diseases, cancer, high blood pressure...) represent an important public health problem due to the high impact they generate on our health systems as well as the high mortality and morbidity rates that accompany them. While it is true that their appearance depends on several factors, it is also true that diet is the main determinant of these diseases, and what really conditions their appearance and expression in the general population. In this context, the figure of the dietitian-nutritionist becomes more than necessary as a health professional trained to transmit knowledge and skills that can modify unhealthy eating habits, as well as to participate as a member of multidisciplinary teams in the treatment of multiple diseases and pathological states. With this Master The student will finally be able to plan balanced diets adapted to different physiological and pathophysiological states, as well as participate as a key element in nutritional education programs for different population groups. This Master It is especially aimed at all professionals in the healthcare and Physical Education branches interested in specializing and developing their professional future towards one of the most emerging and demanded job profiles by society: the Nutritionist – Dietitian. As well as all those people interested in training in the field of Nutrition and Dietetics, and who wish to apply Nutrition Education in one of its many areas: school, work, social environments... etc.
