Professional Technical Course in Intercultural Mediation in the Social Field

The course in intercultural mediation in the social sphere offers a formative itinerary aimed at intercultural mediators in the social sphere, collecting the key elements for professional practice: knowledge and analysis of social reality, theoretical-practical foundation of the mediation process and the mediator's professional profile description, as well as techniques and tools.

- Know the main characteristics of the current context determined by cultural diversity. - Perform an approach to the main dimensions of the sociocultural reality of the immigrant and gypsy collective. Describe, for their peculiarities, the social reality of immigrant and gypsy women. - Briefly present the immigrant legal framework and inclusion policies for the immigrant and gypsy collective as a horizon to take into account by the intercultural mediator. - Perform a conceptual delimitation of the key elements that converge in the mediation process: exclusion, inclusion, immigration, culture, interculturality. - Identify the elements involved in the origin and peaceful resolution of conflicts. - Describe the identification features of the intercultural and community mediation process. - Know the characteristics of the figure of the intercultural mediator, as well as the skills and techniques to be known for the mediation process.

In an intercultural social context, the mediator's figure is acquiring increasing importance. This course aims to offer theoretical and practical knowledge to carry out mediation processes in specific fields. The design of the training itinerary responds to the training needs that the intercultural mediator has in the social sphere: knowledge and analysis of the social and legal situation of the immigrant collective and minority groups, conceptual approach to the field of interculturality, theoretical and practical foundation of the conflict resolution process and mediation, approach to the professional profile of the intercultural mediator, as well as to the skills, techniques and tools that must be known. This course prepares you to exercise as a mediator and you will also be enabled to register in the Mediators Registry of the Ministry of Justice, from which you can choose to mediate in cases designated by the Ministry. The course is adapted to Royal Decree 980/2013 of December 13, Euroinnova being a collaborating institution with the Ministry of Justice for the delivery of training in the area of civil and commercial mediation, being able if the student requests it, communicate the data of the student and the formative action to the Ministry of Justice Telematically for the speed of the discharge and registration as a mediator.

This course in intercultural mediation in the social sphere is aimed at people with the profile: social worker, social educator, street educator, social mediator, youth dynamizer, immigration technician, leisure monitor and free time, licensed in psychology, sociology, pedagogy, psychopedagogy, and all people who are interested in this professional.

This training is not included in the scope of official regulated training (Infant Education, Primary Education, Secondary Education, Official Professional Training FP, Baccalaureate, University Degree, Official University Master and PhD). It is therefore a complementary and/or specialization training, aimed at acquiring certain skills, skills or aptitudes of a professional nature, being able to be barely as merit in workbags and/or opposition competitions, always within the complementary training section and/or continuous training being always essential to review the specific requirements of the public labor stock of the public labor stock market.
