Summary
Addressing the current challenges of climate change and disaster risk management, this course builds skills in information technologies and geographic systems. Through structured teaching units, knowledge is acquired in fundamental ICT tools, capture of georeferenced data and the use of GIS software such as QGIS, enabling participants to create and effectively manage maps and analyze geographic data. This program enriches the ability to generate threat and vulnerability maps, vital in urban planning and in the strategic response to natural phenomena.

El curso de "TIC y SIG Aplicados en la Gestión del Riesgo de Desastres y el Cambio Climático" te prepara para manejar eficazmente tecnologías y sistemas de información geográfica. Descubrirás cómo capturar y gestionar datos geolocalizados, emplear QGIS y comprender el uso de geoservicios. Aprenderás a confeccionar mapas y análisis SIG vitales en la evaluación de amenazas, vulnerabilidad y riesgo, aplicando estos conocimientos en áreas como cartografía y planeación urbana.

Este curso está dirigido a profesionales y técnicos interesados en la gestión del riesgo de desastres y adaptación al cambio climático. A través de cuatro unidades didácticas, los participantes adquirirán conocimientos en informática, sistemas de información geográficos (SIG), GPS y bases de datos. Aprenderán a recolectar y manejar datos geolocalizados, emplear herramientas SIG como QGIS, y generar mapas utilizando geoservicios WMS y WFS, esenciales en disciplinas como cartografía, catastro y análisis de riesgo.
