- Provide the student with necessary and updated knowledge about nutrition and food, as well as useful work tools that allow them to know the nutritional requirements and recommendations in different pathophysiological situations that generate obesity, so that they can be applied in the workplace. - Provide the student with the knowledge that allows them to correctly approach obese patients. - Update knowledge related to the clinical picture of obese patients to contribute to improving the identification, management and reduction of complications in these patients. - Know what diet therapy and dietary intervention in pathological cases consist of. - Learn obesity treatments. - Learn the classification, diagnosis and treatment of diabetes. - Know osteoporosis. - Learn the manifestations, diagnosis and treatment of anorexia nervosa and bulimia nervosa. - Offer basic concepts in the field of dietetics and nutrition, applied to eating disorders: anorexia, obesity, bulimia, etc. - Know the specific nutritional needs of the person with the aim of preventing or remedying eating disorders. - Offer a vision of the nutritional needs of the person in pathological states. - Define nutritional needs at different stages of life, physiological states and most common diseases for which a nutritional intervention can improve the diagnosis. - Present the importance of nutritional education as a generator of healthy eating patterns. - Offer the necessary knowledge to participate in the planning of menus balanced in their energy and nutritional contribution for communities. - Know and evaluate the different eating disorders.
