Both in-flight provisions and airport supplies can present an opportunity to organize an attack in the field of air transport. To avoid these situations, it is necessary to implement security systems and controls on these products, so that threats can be counteracted. Through this avsec course, focused on the logistics field, students are offered adequate training so that the workers of the designated entity Known supplier of airport supplies, correctly apply the protection measures against acts of illicit interference established in current regulations, and deal with possible situations in which the security of civil aviation is threatened.

The avsec course is aimed at all those professionals involved in the preparation and delivery of in-flight supplies at the Accredited Supplier or Known Supplier of Airport Supplies facility, as well as those who have access to airport supplies or drivers/transporters of airport supplies. Likewise, it is aimed at AVSEC security managers for accredited airport supply providers. In general, the avsec course is aimed at anyone who wants to train in this area to develop a professional career in the field of civil aviation, and wants to know the current safety regulations regarding supplies.

Objectives

The avsec course is based on the guidelines established by Regulation (EU) No. 2015/1998 Annex 11.2.3.10, Regulation (EU) 2019/103 and the State Aviation Safety Agency regarding airport supplies, preparing students to correctly apply the established protection measures against acts of illicit interference. To this end, the following objectives are established: - Know the key concepts of AVSEC aviation security. - Analyze chapter 9 of the PNS on airport supplies. - Analyze annex F-PS of the PNF on known suppliers of airport supplies. - Know the Regulation (EU) 2015/1998 – annex 11.2.3.10
