This Course for Children with High Abilities offers specialized training on diagnosis and psychoeducational care for children with High Abilities. Giftedness and high abilities are still controversial concepts and are not exempt from controversy regarding their meaning, evaluation and intervention. Everyone knows, however, that it is a term used to designate those children who have high intelligence. Another question is what we understand by intelligence and how we can measure it to establish reliable identification criteria among children with apparently good abilities.

You will obtain specific preparation ideal to boost your employability within the sector, improving your options to access positions of High Ability Support Specialist, Curriculum Enrichment Technician, Pedagogical Counselor or Advisor in Gifted Diagnostic Offices. The course is aimed at all Early Childhood Education Teachers, Primary Education Teachers, Special Education Teachers, Secondary Education Teachers, Educational Guidance Team Psychologists, Pedagogues, and Psychopedagogues, etc. which are the Education professionals who must detect and carry out a first diagnosis in the classroom of those students with possible high abilities and refer, where appropriate, to the Educational Psychologists who are part of the Educational Guidance Teams of the area, or, where appropriate, to the Education inspection the possible cases for exhaustive evaluation and activation of the different action protocols available to the different Autonomous Communities. It is also a key training for those seeking to increase their score on the merit scale of competitions and transfer competitions. Thanks to its university nature, it is aimed at candidates who need to add decisive points in their call (subject to the contest rules and regional regulations).
