So much so that, currently, it has been demonstrated that the microbiome influences the development of chronic diseases, from metabolic alterations to mental disorders. The Microbiota and Wellbeing Course studies the role of the microbiota in maintaining physiological balance, the appearance of pathologies, and how we can act on it to gain health.
